The Houston Astros are easily one of the most tone deaf teams in MLB history. First came the hollow apologies at the start of the week from Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman and owner Jim Crane, and many thought the ridiculousness would end there.

Not even close! Everyone involved seems to think this scandal will disappear after facing the media once. That's obviously not going to happen, and Altuve took the bold step to not speak with the media Saturday. What was he thinking?

This is a cowardly move and one that shows how Altuve can't own up to what he did. A quick apology at a press conference followed by some questions in the clubhouse doesn't erase what was done. There has been zero genuine remorse and Altuve not speaking with the media only does more damage to his character.

Altuve seems to think that his 40-second apology is all he has to say.

What an absolute joke. He offered up a few prepared words and there are countless other questions to be answered. The sad part is that his teammates, like Carlos Correa, are doing it all for him.

The longer Altuve puts off talking with the media while this situation is at its peak, the more he appears guilty by association in regards to all of the other questions being asked that he's not answering. It's not going to be a pleasant regular season for him if he's already dodging the media during Spring Training.
