After a brief stint with the Oakland Raiders, longtime Green Bay Packers receiver Jordy Nelson signed a one-day contract with the Packers on Sunday, clearing his way to retire with the team that drafted him in 2008.

Now 34 years old, he netted over $56 million in salary over his illustrious 11-year career. Nelson's net worth is roughly $25 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.

Jordan Nelson Contract Details

After being drafted in 2008, Nelson inked a four-year, $4.6 million rookie contract. In 2011, Nelson signed a three-year extension worth $13.1 million. 2014 saw Nelson sign another four-year deal worth $39 million, followed by a two-year deal for $14.2 million with Oakland in 2018.

Nelson finished third in Packers franchise history in catches, fifth in receiving yards, and second in touchdown catches. One of Aaron Rodgers' most trusted targets, Nelson was a big part of the Packers' Super Bowl victory in 2010.

After missing the entirety of the 2015 campaign due to an ACL injury, Nelson came back strong the following season, taking home the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.

An unproductive 2017 campaign left the Packers no choice but to cut Nelson, who played out a forgettable stint in Oakland before calling it quits this offseason.

Nelson will go down in history as an all-time great receiver and one of the greatest Packers to ever do it. A tip of the cap is in order for a fine and decorated career.
