Jontay Porter Shuts Down Reports Saying He's Signing With the Trail Blazers
By Michael Luciano

Jontay Porter is still fighting for a spot in the NBA following his ACL injury. That spot just won't be with the Portland Trail Blazers, at least not yet.
Porter, the brother of former No. 1 overall recruit and another oft-injured player in Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr, shut down reports that he had signed with the Trail Blazers after he went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Due to his long list of injuries, Porter missed last season. During his only healthy season in Missouri, the 6-11, 240-pound center averaged 9.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, alongside 1.7 blocks. He also converted 36.4% of his 3-point attempts.
While Porter not being one of the 60 players who heard their name called on draft night surprised many, the fact that he isn't even healthy enough to jump yet is probably scaring a few teams away.
While reports suggested the Blazers had inked him to a deal on Thursday night, Porter himself has denied any substance to those claims, proving once again that just because someone claims to have inside information, it's not always accurate.
If anyone was wondering why Jontay Porter wasn't drafted and still hasn't been picked up for a summer league team, here is why, he's still not even jumping. pic.twitter.com/dWj0lefRdv

The Porter brothers would but the Ball brothers to shame with their raw talent. However, their long list of career-threatening injuries makes it unlikely we'll ever see all that talent on display.
