VIDEO: John Calipari Takes Subtle Shot at Duke Over Net Ratings

John Calipari is not one to keep quiet when he feels there has been an injustice. On Saturday, after the Kentucky Wildcats' wild comeback 71-70 victory over the Florida Gators, Calipari was unsurprisingly very vocal when discussing the current NET ratings. Calipari, who has a 10-year contract with Kentucky, doesn't have to worry about watching what he says as much anymore. And spoiler alert: when discussing the hated Duke University and their NET ratings, as compared to Kentucky's, he didn't.

Coach Cal is absolutely correct. Why would a team which has lost three of its last four games to unranked opponents not even go down one spot in the NCAA's NET rankings? Something here seems a bit fishy.

In the Associated Press (AP) top 25 rankings, Duke dropped five spots from seventh to 12th due to those losses.

In only the NET ratings' second season of being implemented, there have been plenty of issues with the system already. Last year, FSU won a matchup against Wake Forest, and somehow moved down two spots, behind less-talented teams which FSU had already defeated.

Calipari is absolutely right. Something has to be done about this rankings system, as it clearly has some issues that need to be fixed.
