John Beilein Reportedly Considering Stepping Down as Cavs Coach Less Than One Season Into Huge Deal

The Cleveland Cavaliers entered the NBA All-Star break with a record of 14-40 in a brutal first season for head coach John Beilein.
There were expected to be issues in the second year of a massive rebuild, but stories have leaked throughout the year of Beilein not being fit for the NBA game. Adrian Wojnarowski decided to drop a vintage Woj Bomb during the NBA All-Star Game regarding Beilein potentially stepping down as head coach right away.
Reporting with @WindhorstESPN: Cavaliers and John Beilein have discussed possibility of him stepping down as coach during the NBA All-Star Break. No decision’s been reached. After signing 5-year deal to leave Michigan, Beilein’s struggled w/ transition to NBA.

Woj mentions that Beilein could be stepping down during the break. So by the time the Cavs are back in action Friday, it could be with a new head coach.
Sources: Beilein left for the All-Star break weighing his future as coach -- including the possibility that he's coached his final game, league sources tell ESPN. He has yet to make convey a decision, but there's been conversation w/ management about the option of a prompt exit. https://t.co/L5LVVyLiu4

Stepping down during the All-Star break in the first year of a five-year contract would be a surprising move after Beilein was brought in to lead this young Cleveland team.
Nonetheless, this is just another example of the Cavaliers' incompetence ever since LeBron James left. LBJ provided Cleveland with his golden years, but the aftermath hasn't gone according to plan. With Beilien potentially looking to retire altogether, let's hope Cleveland gets this decision right for once.
