Joe Thomas Calls Out Mason Rudolph for Bland Rehearsed Apology After Myles Garrett Incident
By Ian Anderson

Remember your parents forcing you to apologize for something as a child, and instead of being sincere you just rolled your eyes and said sorry? It still happens in the real world.
A statement was issued by Mason Rudolph six days after his debacle with Myles Garrett, and former Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas isn't pleased by the Steelers QB's response. So like any human, Thomas took to Twitter to share his displeasure.
If we’re going to do prepared statement apologies 6 days after an incident, wouldn’t the statement being accurate be somewhat important? I mean, they had 6 days to come up with this statement and this is the best they can do? https://t.co/0KM0xkiiEC

Thomas does have a point here, however. After six whole days this is the best apology that Rudolph and the Steelers could come up with? It is quite pathetic.
I just wanted to say, the amount of energy people are wasting talking about the atrocities that Mason Rudolph supposedly committed as opposed to the atrocity that Myles Garrett willingly committed is one of the strangest phenomenons I’ve ever witnessed.

This prepared statement could have been so much better, but the Pittsburgh Steelers decided to put this lacking bundle of words out, not because they actually cared, but because it was their duty as an NFL franchise to do so.
We can argue for ages over whether Rudolph started this incident or not, but he definitely participated. The former Oklahoma State QB either doesn't see the error in his ways, or the franchise doesn't want him to admit guilt. Either way, a monotone statement wasn't the way to go, according to Thomas.
