Joe Lunardi Thinks Kentucky Still Has Shot at No. 2 Seed Despite Disastrous Loss to Tennessee
By Jack Murphy

The Kentucky Wildcats seemed to have the No. 2 seed on lock heading into a matchup against at home against Tennessee. However, the Vols pulled off an upset and left a huge blunder on Kentucky's resume.
Despite the disastrous loss to the 17-13 Volunteers, Joe Lunardi believes that Kentucky is still in the running for the No. 2 seed they desire.

Lunardi currently has Kentucky as a No. 3 seed in a highly competitive Midwest region with a potential path of New Mexico State, Colorado, Louisville and Kansas to make the Final Four. However, if they win out, the Wildcats may find themselves as a No. 2 seed in a more manageable region, as they're the highest-rated three-seed.

Winning out will be easier said than done for Kentucky. Their final game of the season before the SEC Tournament will be on the road against the Florida Gators, who are looking to bolster their resume with a Quadrant 1 win.
To win the SEC championship, they will more likely have to go through tough teams such as Auburn or LSU in a neutral environment.
The Wildcats have a top-4 seed pretty much on lock. The goal for them now is to put themselves in the best position possible to make a run to the Final Four.
