Joe Burrow is such a Louisiana icon that he got a ceremonial "-eaux" suffix added to his name during his undefeated, title-winning senior season in Baton Rouge that included a Heisman Trophy. But now that he's moving on to Cincinnati to start his pro career, Burrow is caping for another cause that's sure to cause a bit of a stir in the bayou.

And not the type of stir that makes gumbo better.

Burrow even came out against LSU's live mascot, Mike the Tiger -- as well as authentic animal mascots in general -- in a recent interview.

"Mike the Tiger is not my favorite part of campus," Burrow said on the "Pardon My Take" podcast this week.

As for the other tigers that he's become so well-associated with in recent weeks? Turns out this Joe Exotic won't be watching his counterpart anytime soon.

"Actually, I haven't watched [Tiger King] yet," Burrow continued. "I'm anti-animal-in-cage. So, I'm not gonna watch it, I don't think."

Ah, well. Keep making your shirts and memes, everyone, but your King won't join you on that journey. Hopefully, this set of revelations doesn't put a damper on his next visit to campus.
