Joe Burrow Has Proven He's a Better NFL Prospect Than Jake Fromm

The LSU Tigers are on fire right now, and it's largely thanks to the play of star quarterback Joe Burrow. The senior has been shooting up draft boards, and after another stellar outing on Saturday, he's been pegged by many as a future first-round pick.

And while Burrow's draft stock elevates, another top quarterback has been struggling. Georgia's Jake Fromm has not been getting it done over the past few weeks, and due to his recent struggles, Burrow has proven to have the better NFL pedigree between the two SEC signal callers.

On the year, Burrow is already up to an LSU record 29 touchdown passes, through just seven games. He's thrown for 2,484 yards and just three interceptions on the season.

Meanwhile, Fromm is falling from grace. He entered Week 8 with just nine touchdown passes on the year, and had thrown for just 1,371 yards. While many expected him to cruise into his junior year, he has struggled to produce early on.

His performance against Kentucky didn't offer fans much hope either, particularly his lackluster first half.

While there's still half a season left to play, these are two QB's who are currently trending in very different directions. Burrow has gone from somewhat of an NFL afterthought to a serious candidate to be one of the first quarterback's off the board. Fromm, on the other hand, will still likely be a top pick, but he's certainly not moving UP draft boards.
