Queue the never-ending rumors! Free agency is upon us and Shams Charania and Adrian Wojnarowski are likely to be tweeting out new developments and emerging whispers quicker than you can unlock your phone.

In fact, we've had two separate developments regarding Jimmy Butler's future within the last two hours. After Woj reported earlier that the 76ers, Rockets and Heats were the front-runners to land Butler this summer, we now have two more teams in the hunt for the four-time All-Star's services.

Shams now understands that the Nets and Lakers have expressed interest in offering Jimmy a max contract, a perk we know that Butler is clamoring for this offseason.

Brooklyn is closing in on linking Kyrie Irving to a four-year contract reportedly worth $141 million, but the organization still has room to sign another player to a max deal. We know that they're enamored with pairing Kevin Durant with the superstar point guard, but if that doesn't work out, they'll have their eyes sets on Butler.

The Lakers, on the other hand, recently completed a series of roster moves that presents them with the opportunity to sign another star to a max deal to compliment the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

They've largely been rumored with Kawhi Leonard but could easily turn to Butler if all else fails.

Jimmy's previously-cloudy impending free agency just became a whole lot more perplexing and intriguing.
