Jimbo Fisher Downplays What a Win Over Georgia Would Mean for Texas A&M
By Chris Pyo

The 7-3 Texas A&M Aggies have the most difficult end to their regular season schedule in all of college football, with consecutive match-ups against No. 4 Georgia and No. 1 LSU.
With that, no one would blame head coach Jimbo Fisher for dramatizing what a win over either team would mean for the Aggies. Of course, Fisher did the exact opposite of that when asked how a win over Georgia might mean to a program that's been pretty mediocre over the past couple of years.
Fisher, on what a win vs. Georgia would mean: The biggest thing is that we'd be 8-3. It would mean that we're learning and getting better as a program. Getting close to getting over the hump.

That's a textbook example of how to diplomatically answer a question without ruffling any feathers. Jimbo's trained on that, having dealt with those types of leading questions during his successful stint at Florida State.
But talk about a mediocre and uninspiring quote coming from Fisher when he had the opportunity to fire up his No. 24 ranked team and spoil Georgia's bid for a College Football Playoff berth.
Not that it will happen but it just occurred to me Jimbo Fisher can completely screw up the SEC in the @CFBPlayoff if:

A&M beats UGA
A&M beats LSU then
UGA beats LSU
Could the Aggies shock the world and beat both Georgia and LSU? We've seen crazier things happen over the years, but one thing's for certain: Jimbo isn't going to provide any bulletin board material.
