We have a new welterweight champion of the world, ladies and gentleman. It took 11 rounds for Jermell Charlo to regain his 154-pound WBC welterweight title over Tony Harrison, but the former champ made it happen. The bout ended in a TKO when the referee stopped contention after Charlo hit Harrison with a flurry a haymakers.
Harrison protested the ref's decision immediately after he called the fight, but it was too little too late. There's no doubt fans will be clamoring for Charlo-Harrison part three in the near future, and that will one will be a fight for the ages.
