Duke's Mike Krzyzewski is known for being one of the most successful college basketball coaches in the history of the sport. He knows exactly how to squeeze the best performance out of every player on his roster, and has helped many players unlock their full potential and advance to the NBA.

What's not necessarily known, however, are the behind-the-scenes methods he uses to motivate his guys. Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum shed some light on the subject, sharing a memorable and NSFW anecdote about a poor performance from his lone year at Duke, in which Coach K motivated him to do better.

Sometimes it takes a little bit of tough love to get the most out of your players, and that's exactly the method Krzyzewski used to inspire Tatum. A 30-point second half would suggest that Coach K's technique was extremely effective.

The Blue Devils have made 12 Final Four appearances and have won five national championships during Coach K's illustrious tenure with the team.

His program has produced countless NBA stars, such as Tatum, who took what they learned from him and applied it at the next level.

It's safe to say that Tatum is no longer a soft kid from St. Louis, considering he's averaging 19.8 points and 7.2 rebounds for the C's this season.
