It looks like Jay-Z has his eyes on the NFL. After his entertainment company Roc Nation partnered with the league earlier this week, it's now been revealed that the rap mogul has further goals within the league.

TMZ has reported that Jay-Z will become the part-owner of an undisclosed NFL franchise in the near future.

Sources closely connected to Hova, with direct knowledge of the situation, even told the renowned gossip outlet that he will have "significant ownership interest" from a profusion of organizations. What team Jay-Z has in mind has not yet been revealed, but TMZ was allegedly told the move will happen in "the near future."

From the surface, Jay's potential (or inevitable) maneuver to the NFL might draw some controversy as a plethora of the league's current players are signed with his renowned sports management company, Roc Nation -- Saquon Barkley, Todd Gurley, Leonard Fournette, and Ndamukong Suh to name a few.

However, TMZ has cleared up any potential skepticism regarding that dynamic, claiming that the artist is NOT a league agent and doesn't partake in any of the "operations of the NFL Players in Roc Nation."

There you have it, ladies and gents.

All that's left to do now is wait for the revelation of what organization will welcome the rapping legend. Keep those phones handy though, because reports indicate that the announcement is imminent.
