Jason Witten has been around a while. The newly unretired tight end played a role on 15 different Dallas Cowboys teams from 2003 to 2017. So when he says the 2019 version of the team is the most talented one he's ever been a part of, you'd best believe it.

The sure-fire Hall-of-Famer said that the absolutely loaded roster is one of the main reasons why he decided to put on his pads again.

"Yeah, I think it's close," said Witten when asked about whether or not this season could prove to be his best chance at winning a Super Bowl. "Most talent I've ever seen."

And it's not all hyperbole. On offense, the Cowboys boast the formidable trio of Ezekiel Elliot, Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper, the latter of whom is poised for his first full season in Big D. Opposite them on defense are the likes of Demarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith and Byron Jones.

The 37-year-old Witten picked a fine year to come out of retirement. Positive change seems inevitable under new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, who has a chance to take things to another level.

2019 could finally be the year that the Cowboys shed their history of underachievement and give one of their franchise's greatest players the opportunity to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
