VIDEO: Jason Witten Says He Hopes He Can Stay With Cowboys and Make Another Super Bowl Run

Jason Witten left the ESPN broadcast booth to rejoin the Dallas Cowboys in 2019 on a one-year deal. The team had a disappointing season and Witten hit the offseason a free agent once again. He spoke with the media at his 'Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year' event and made it clear he wants to return to the Cowboys.
Jason Witten on his future with the Cowboys: “I hope that it’s here just because there’s nothing I want more than to bring a championship here. I think this team is close. I think it really has the makeup to do some special things.” pic.twitter.com/cOqqdcQ9vT

This seems to mean Witten is not headed for retirement yet again. He wants to return and chase a Super Bowl title with the Cowboys. If the team wants to move on, he could still play elsewhere.
It doesn't look like Jason Witten will be back with the Cowboys. He hopes they will make a decision on his future in the next couple of weeks. Shortly after the combine. He wants to return but will play elsewhere if he has to. He is committed to playing

Witten has only ever played for the Cowboys. His first stint lasted from 2003-2017, and he returned in 2019. The thought of him in another uniform is bizarre after such a long tenure.
But past greats have switched teams after long stays and Witten may just be the latest to do so. However, the fact Jerry Jones is still running the show means Witten playing in any other city seems farfetched at the moment.
