In easily one of the biggest storylines of the NFL offseason, future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Drew Brees announced he's hanging up his cleats and calling it a career. He spent the past 15 years with the New Orleans Saints.

In 2020, he had Jameis Winston studying behind him, serving as his backup. Well, Winston made it quite clear just how much Brees' leadership meant to him, sending the now-retired QB quite the message.

"I love you, and it was a privilege to get to learn from you last year, and really to see what I've admired from afar," Winston said. "It was real. You've shown me how to be an NFL quarterback. That was a privilege."

Those are touching words from Winston, who will now enter the 2021 campaign in a battle with Taysom Hill for the No. 1 job. Brees will watch from home to see who ends up taking over center for him.
