It's fair to say that the NFL would like to forget the last 24-hour news cycle.
Just hours after the shocking details of Bashaud Breeland's arrest were unveiled, it was reported that former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Telvin Smith was taken into custody and charged with "unlawful sexual activity with certain minors."

The former Pro Bowler took last season off and was reportedly planning to return to the Jaguars in 2020. Smith was a former Florida State Seminole who was selected in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. This development could impact Smith's plan to return to the gridiron.
According to reports, local authorities were called to the home known to be owned by Smith. Helicopter cameras even caught footage of SWAT team officials and undercover detectives surrounding the 29-year-old's mansion in Queen's Harbour.
