Jadeveon Clowney Interested in Giants in Free Agency for Some Reason

Seattle Seahawks defensive end and former Houston Texans No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney figures to be one of the top overall free agents on the market this offseason, and he will have no shortage of teams ready to part with huge sums of money for his services.

One wild card team might have the inside track on securing his signature, as Clowney is supposedly interested in joining up with Joe Judge and the New York Giants.

Clowney recorded just three sacks last season, but he remained one of the better run-stuffers and turnover-creators from the 4-3 defensive end position, as evidenced by his four forced fumbles and two touchdowns.

At just 27 and with three Pro Bowls under his belt already, Clowney, who wants to return to Seattle, would be the ideal signing for just about any defensive front. However, it is believed that Clowney is trying to go to a team positioned to win Super Bowls, and a 4-12 team with a rookie head coach probably isn't the place to go for that goal right now, even if they appear to be on the right track.

The Giants might not be positioned to win right now, but they have plenty of cash to splash this offseason, and Clowney might be enticed by a substantial payday forked over by Dave Gettleman.
