Ja Morant's Dad and His Amazing Hat Are Way Too Cool on Draft Night

With the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies selected Murray State guard Ja Morant. In a way, it's unfortunate that the attention was not all on him. But the reason for this being the case is pretty amazing.
Morant and his father came into tonight's draft with attention-drawing outfits, Morant with a head-to-toe grey pinstriped suit and his father with a somewhat simple suit and an attention-grabbing brimmed hat.
Ja Morant said his dad was his first hater, then his dad came to the draft dressed like he’s going to the Playa Hater’s Ball. You love to see it. pic.twitter.com/EUpv2zCHhu

Unfortunately, Morant not only came in at No. 2 in the draft, but was also No. 2 at his own table watching his pops totally steal the show.
He did seem unbothered by his dad's bold, attention-stealing fashion choice, probably because of the attractive contract that he will be signing in the coming weeks.
Hooray for Ja and his family. A second straight feel-good pick. Story earlier this week on his historic rise: https://t.co/OXe2LhNWjY

Ja is expected to come into Memphis this upcoming season to replace the recently traded Mike Conley and forge a new path forward for the team. Just make sure to keep an eye on dad whenever he ends up courtside. He surely won't disappoint.
