The Houston Astros are accused of the ultimate sin in baseball: cheating.

The allegations describe a sophisticated method of banging on trash cans to alert batters of off-speed pitches.

2017 is the year in focus and J.D. Davis played in 24 games for the Astros that season. He recently came out and claimed innocence, stating he wasn't aware of the plot.

But there is just too much evidence going against the Astros to believe the claims of being oblivious about this method by Davis.

The monitor. The towel. The location. The loud sounds in countless videos. There is too much obvious evidence to assume this is all one big misunderstanding.

Davis was not a key contributor for the Astros during his time there. And it makes sense to not tattle on his old squad. But it would be interesting to hear what he has to say if shown the video clip of him batting with a loud sound in the background.

There is too much there to call it a coincidence.
