Isaiah Thomas Actually Handled Fan Confrontation With Complete Class
By Michael Luciano

Last night was a textbook example of how just reading the headlines without looking at the full story can be problematic. When Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas was ejected after dropping an f-bomb on a fan that was giving him the middle finder, it sounds horrific. However, the Philadelphia 76ers fan was angling for a free Frosty as part of a promotion the Sixers run at home games.
Isaiah Thomas said a fan gave him the middle finger with both hands and said, “F— you, b——“ after he made his second free throw. Said he calmly approached the fan to tell him to not to disrespect him. Fan said, “Sorry, I really wanted a Frosty.”

Everyone in the crowd gets a free frosty if an opposing player misses two consecutive free throws. Thomas had missed his first one, and the fan was simply trying to distract him in the hope he would miss the second free throw.
Thomas, who is averaging 13.6 points and 4.8 assists in his first season as a Wizard, later calmly went up to the fan and got his side of the story in a pretty classy move. Luckily, both parties were pretty amicable about the whole thing, and that was the end of the fireworks.
props to Isaiah Thomas for handing the fan situation professionally because if a frosty was responsible for Malice at the Palace 2 ... i mean, just read that damn sentence again.

Unfortunately for that fan, Thomas made the second free throw, depriving him of his free Frosty. Why he was so hungry for an ice cream treat in the middle of December is a mystery, but Thomas made sure he went home hungry.
Luckily for both parties, this didn't get as ugly as it could have.
