It seems as though not everyone is buying into Rob Gronkowski's retirement plans.

New England Patriots insiders maintain that once the season truly gets underway, the massive tight end will miss football too much not to rejoin the team.

"You can count on it," claimed one source.

It's not like he wouldn't have plenty of serviceable years left. Though he was fortunate to retire following a Super Bowl win, he only just turned 30 and in all likelihood has the ability to play a good deal more quality football. While injuries certainly contributed to his retirement, Gronk may push the pain aside to pursue one last go-around.

Even in a shaky 2018 campaign in which he only started in 11 games, he still managed to haul in 682 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

These aren't just vague possibilities being tossed around. These are people who genuinely believe that Gronkowski will inevitably find his way back onto an NFL field in 2019.

And when all of the circumstances are taken into consideration, it doesn't actually sound that crazy.
