Independent League Team Announces 'Astros the Grouch' Talking Trash Can Bobblehead
By Scott Rogust

The Houston Astros are currently dealing with the deserved backlash for their shady actions throughout the 2017 season and beyond. After being proven guilty of using illegal methods to steal signs during games, the organization was far from apologetic. Hence, the team is being subject to boos at spring training games and to countless memes on social media.
Well, one independent baseball team decided to take things to the next level to mock the 'Stros. The St. Paul Saints are having a special giveaway on July 31, where the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive an "Astro the Grouch" talking bobblehead.

Shots fired.
So what exactly does the "Astro the Grouch" bobblehead do if you happen to be in possession of the green fur ball? Well, if you push the button on the base of the figurine, it will make noise from inside his trash can and either bang once for a fastball, or twice for a curveball. If the opposition is catching on, he'll just whisper the two pitch types to you, non-discretely.
Whoever thought up this promotion deserves a raise because this is both creative and hilarious. Baseball fans will be clamoring to get their hands one of these goodies.
You knew *someone* was gonna do it.

Why are the Saints trolling the Astros at such a high level? Well, they're the reigning American Association Champions, and want to prove they did it clean, unlike Houston.
The Saints are a member of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, which is not affiliated with the MLB. That, however, hasn't discouraged the organization from taking a shot at the big league club.
