Former Red Sox Infielder Ian Kinsler Claims MLB Investigation Into Boston 'Won't Find Anything Substantial'
By Jack Murphy

While the Houston Astros have been taking in all the criticism for MLB's sign-stealing scandal, they are not the only team that has been accused of such activities. The Boston Red Sox also allegedly stole signs during their 2018 campaign, in which they won the World Series.
However, according to former Red Sox infielder Ian Kinsler, the MLB will not find anything substantial in their investigation against the 2018 World Champions.
Ian Kinsler with the most expansive comments yet from a member of the 2018 Red Sox. In a radio interview in Dallas, Kinsler said he doesn't think MLB will find much but admits Sox had a 'very good system of relaying from second base to home plate.' https://t.co/fVBN80cQcy

Kinsler is simply saying that the Red Sox sign stealing system was nowhere near as elaborate as what the Astros were guilty of. According to the retired second baseman, the Red Sox would only relay signs to the batter via the runner on 2nd base -- a tactic that is almost as old as baseball itself.
However, now with the implementation of the video room there is a gray area with how it should be used. Kinsler also mentioned that if he were looking at his film and a runner is on 2nd during the at-bat, he would go back and see if he could decipher the signs. They would only be relayed to the batter if there was a runner on second base.
Full interview is now out, more on Kinsler: “I truly believe they’re not going to find anything that’s substantial, they might throw a small punishment out there because they did a report. I just really don’t see any form of punishment coming to the Red Sox. We were a good team.”

Rob Manfred is expected to release the Red Sox punishment for their alleged punishment soon.
