Retiring Yankees ace CC Sabathia has a plan after baseball, alright.

In essence, he's going to continue being the same impactful figure he's always been, focusing his leadership skills on continuing to rejuvenate the lives of the less fortunate, by any means he's able to provide.

Founded in 2008, and operated by CC, his wife Amber, and his mother Margie, among other staffers and volunteers, Sabathia's "PitCCh In" Foundation has become a tentpole operation in providing high quality of life to disaffected youths in the inner cities that helped nurture the Hall of Fame hurler himself.

The foundation's goal of providing a better life to those often left behind in urban areas is embodied by three programs and initiatives piloted by Sabathia: the All-Star Baseball Clinic, Youth Backpack Program, and Field Renovations across the country.

Of course, Sabathia underscored his entire final season with a sense of giving; he provided the groundwork for Boys and Girls Club kids to attend over 50 Yankee games in various cities during 2019, sitting down with CC pregame to get the lowdown on what it means to wear the pinstripes.

That's on the field and in the community, of course.

During the time this offseason when he's not recruiting Gerrit Cole to the Yankees, you can spot Sabathia and his foundation mates planning clinics around the country for young ballers, ages five-to-12, taught by MLB talent, local coaches, and guests. Once back to school season kicks into high gear again, CC, Amber, and Margie will continue to donate backpacks and supplies to those less fortunate, in the surrounding communities of the Bronx, as well as CC's native Vallejo, California.

With a love-filled family structure in place during his tough childhood, this Black Ace would like to make sure the next generation, and those that follow, are properly taken care of during their darkest pre-adolescent years. Without his obligations on the diamond in the decades to come, you can bet Sabathia will double down on showing gratitude.
