VIDEO: Houston Cheerleader Suffers Huge Fall After ESPN Sideline Reporter Bumps Into Her Partner
By Sam Dunn

This is just about the last thing you'd ever want to see on a college football sideline. In an all-Cougar showdown between Houston and Washington State, the UH cheerleaders were engaging in some good ol' lifts on the far sideline in the midst of the action. Unfortunately, the run of play took a Houston player flying past the sideline and out of bounds, and his momentum forced ESPN sideline reporter Paul Carcaterra to bump into a male cheerleader-- who in turn couldn't catch his female counterpart as she came back down.

To be clear, we're *not* blaming Carcaterra for this. It was a heads-up situation and a speeding player in full pads was headed right at him. But this is just not great. It's not great at all.
The safety of the Houston cheerleader is the most important thing here. We cannot stress this enough. It's not foreseeable that the football action can stretch so far out of bounds, but in this case, the hometown Cougars just got dealt a bad hand.
HEY @ESPNCFB @espn TELL YOUR MORON SIDELINE REPORTER WITH THE TIE ON . TO STOP RUNNING INTO CHEERLEADERS THAT ARE 7'+ IN THE AIR. HOPEFULLY THAT GIRL IS OK. WASHINGTON STATE VERSUS HOUSTON

It's a contact sport in more ways than you think, folks.
