Haloti Ngata to Officially Retire as a Raven on Wednesday
By Will Fowler

After an illustrious 13-year career, Super Bowl champion and two-time All-Pro defensive tackle Haloti Ngata will retire as a Baltimore Raven on Wednesday.
Ngata spent the first nine years of his NFL career with the Ravens, earning Pro Bowl honors every year from 2009 to 2013 and making All-Pro teams in 2010 and 2011.
Ngata also won Super Bowl XLVII with Baltimore, a game in which they defeated the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 34-31.

In nine years with the Ravens, Ngata recorded 32.5 sacks and 7 forced fumbles while helping anchor a defense that was considered one of the best in football at the time. He also became the definition of durability -- out of 144 games, Ngata played in 135 of them, a number that is almost unheard of, especially at the defensive tackle position.
Ngata spent the next three years of his career with the Detroit Lions before playing his last with the Philadelphia Eagles, though he will officially go out as a Raven when he signs his one-day contract.

We don't know what's next for Ngata, but a spot in the Ravens Ring of Honor and a Hall of Fame jacket are certainly in play.
