Being a Hall of Fame MLB pitcher is one thing, but also being a Hall of Fame prankster is the stuff of legends.

Greg Maddux is known for both his ability to pitch and his ability to take friendly jabs at former competitors, and this recent story from former pitcher Jim Kaat just screams Maddux.

After Greg Maddux broke Kaat's record for most Gold Gloves, Kaat jokingly told him that the only record that he had left was oldest pitcher to steal a base.

Well, Maddux then proceeded to steal a base a couple months later, and decided to instantly let Kaat know that he'd nabbed another record from his grasp.

This shouldn't come as a surprise as Maddux is notorious for the devious pranks he pulled on his teammates in the clubhouse, and he certainly wasn't going to hold back from boasting at the expense of another hurler.

Maddux retired in 2008 having over 5,000 innings pitched under his belt, along with posting a career ERA of just 3.16, as well as four Cy Young Awards, which led to his Hall of Fame induction in 2014.

Maddux's illustrious 23-year career combined with his ability to both talk trash and have fun in the clubhouse makes him truly one of Major League Baseball's greatest ever.
