No. 2 Gonzaga will face off against San Francisco in the West Coast Conference Tournament semifinal on Monday night, trying to hold off an upstart and a challenger to their throne.

Gonzaga is basically a major conference team stuck in a mid-major. Ranked second in the country and first in the WCC, they continue to dominate the college basketball landscape.

They currently sit at 29-2 and 15-1 in conference, with their only loss coming at BYU on Feb. 22.
San Francisco is the six seed in the WCC Tournament, with a 9-7 conference record and a 22-11 overall record.

The Dons kept it close with Gonzaga for most of their most recent home matchup, but Gonzaga pulled away at the end. They haven't beaten the Zags since 2012.
Gonzaga appears to have secured a one seed in March Madness, even with a loss on Monday, but you can bet they're not going to let up. Never discount the craziness of March in conference tournaments, but it's difficult to see San Francisco coming out with a win in this one.
