The injury woes for the New York Yankees won't stop but they somehow keep on winning. Despite having 16 players on the injured list, the Bombers have an eight-game lead in the AL East over the second-place Tampa Bay Rays and are atop the MLB.

They perhaps got their biggest scare on Sunday night when Gleyber Torres was taken to the hospital with a core muscle injury, throwing him in with Edwin Encarnacion and Aaron Hicks as the major injured Yankees during their series against the Red Sox.

But there's good news, Yankees fans. Gleyber's dad provided us with a positive update.

That's a big relief for the dinged up Yanks, especially after Gio Urshela got good news after viciously fouling two balls off of his leg. Losing these two guys would've been an insurmountable blow for the infield.

Still, these guys have to get the night off on Monday against Baltimore. Manager Aaron Boone cannot risk anything further with these two.

Expect a B squad lineup for the Yanks as they head down to Baltimore to open up a three-game set against the O's.
