Maybe it's not the significant trade we were originally teased with, but the Giants and Brewers have agreed in principle to a move which could help Milwaukee's pitching depth.

The Brew Crew has a loaded lineup, but is inarguably in need of more arms, as the rotation has been lacking all season long at Miller Park. In their quest to battle the Cubs and Cardinals atop the NL Central, the Brewers acquired Jordan Lyles from Pittsburgh a few days ago. If that didn't satisfy fans, this next move likely won't do the trick either.

Drew Pomeranz has a 5.68 ERA on the season and was relegated to the Giants' bullpen because he was so inefficient. Since that decision, he's fared better, including four straight scoreless outings.

Ray Black, in the meantime, hasn't pitched much in the bigs in 2019. In just two outings, he's allowed 1 earned run and struck out 5.

In return, the Giants will receive promising infield prospect Mauricio Dubon, rated as the fifth-best prospect in Milwaukee's system to start the season. Surely, this is a "significant" pull for two relievers who are far from game-changers.
