The San Francisco Giants announced the return of one fan favorite to the club on Wednesday when the team signed veteran slugger Pablo Sandoval. Well, that may not be the only reunion the Giants are seeking this offseason.

Per Jon Heyman, the Giants have expressed interest in free agent Hunter Pence.

Pence was enjoying a monster year in Texas in 2019, however injuries derailed his season after just 83 games. On the year, he slashed .297/.358/.552 with 18 homers and 59 RBI, cracking the AL All-Star roster as the team's DH.

The 36-year-old played for the Giants from 2012-2018 after being acquired in a deal with the Phillies. During his tenure in The Bay, Pence launched 93 homers and drove in 406 RBI, while posting an OPS of .757. He won a pair of World Series' with the club in 2012 and 2014.

The four-time All-Star is set to enter his 14th season in the bigs, and what better landing spot for the slugger than his old stomping grounds in San Francisco?

While the Giants seem a ways out from contending, this is a move that could fire up the fan base.
