VIDEO: Giants Pitcher Yapson Gomez Shows off Ridiculous Windup in Spring Training Game

In the history of the MLB, there have been quite a few of unorthodox deliveries that pitchers use in order to get in a rhythm on the mound. San Francisco Giants pitcher Yapson Gomez may very well have the strangest delivery of anyone who has ever stepped foot on an MLB mound, and as the previous statement suggests, that's saying something.

Step aside Bronson Arroyo and Tim Lincecum, you guys have been overshadowed by this wacky windup. There is simply way too much going on here. The leg kicks followed by the foot taps just are a little overwhelming, but as long as he throws strikes and isn't called for a balk, we'll allow it.

Gomez finished his outing without allowing a hit and racking up two strikeouts in one inning, so this unusual windup seemed to work for him in this Spring Training outing. Whether it's sustainable remains to be seen.
