Germany shockingly knocked out of the World Cup

Whenever Germany participates in the World Cup, they're a threat to win it all. However, things didn't go according to plan for them in 2018 and now this team has taken another step in the wrong direction in 2022.

On Thursday, thanks to Japan shocking Spain 2-1 to finish at the top of the group, Germany has officially been eliminated from the tournament. Goodness.

Japan's go-ahead goal vs. Spain was controversial, but replay and VAR confirmed the ball didn't go all the way out. Now, Germany will have to watch the rest of the tourney from home. Just brutal for them.
