The Georgia Bulldogs have received a bit of a boost for their backfield ahead of their showdown with Baylor.

Despite being arrested earlier this month, running back James Cook has been cleared to play in the Sugar Bowl against the No. 7 Bears.

Cook was arrested on Dec. 14 for having an open container of alcohol in his car as well as driving with an invalid license.

According to the police report, the officer could smell marijuana but could not find any because Cook said that he had smoked it all.

The sophomore running back has made an appearance in all 13 games this season for the Bulldogs, but has not played that much due to running back D'Andre Swift being an absolute workhorse.

Cook has played decently in the run game, but has added much more value to the Bulldogs in the passing game. On the season Cook has 16 receptions out of the backfield for 132 yards.

With Swift not being at 100% health, Cook could see more snaps and touches than he normally would against Baylor.
