Terrible news has arrived for the Georgia Bulldogs, as star wide receiver George Pickens has received the worst news possible on his injured knee. The 6-3, 200-pounder went down on Tuesday during practice and immediate worry arrived for Kirby Smart and his coaches.

On Wednesday, the team announced that Pickens suffered a torn ACL and he'll undergo surgery for it. Your heart breaks for the young man.

Pickens has been a playmaker for the Bulldogs over the past two seasons. As a freshman, he appeared in 12 games and hauled in 49 receptions for 727 yards and eight touchdowns. This past season, he played in eight contests, posting 36 catches for 513 yards and six scores.

Now, the junior will need to have surgery in the near future to try and get his knee back to full strength. Smart is confident his standout wideout will be able to overcome this adversity and get back to his old ways of turning heads catching the pigskin.
