4-Star Georgia Commit Admits He Almost Flipped to Florida But Will Stick With the Bulldogs
By Michael Luciano

One of the best running backs in the state of Florida confirmed that he is spurning his in-state options and will go to Georgia for his upcoming freshman season.
Indeed, 2021 4-star running back Lovasea Carroll, who teased a "business decision" just a few days ago, claims that he was close to flipping to Florida, but has instead chosen to reaffirm his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.

Carroll had his pick of SEC schools to choose from, with Auburn and South Carolina showing particular interest, but he decided to join a program that has sent several star backs to the pros in recent years.
Florida, the same program that helped produce Emmitt Smith and Fred Taylor, has received just one running back commitment in the past two cycles, and they have yet to pull in a 2021 commit. Carroll is simply the latest high-profile back to spurn the Gators for the Bulldogs.
Florida has signed just 1 high school running back in the previous 2 recruiting cycles and does not have a running back committed for 2021 yet.

That history makes Lovasea Carroll’s decision to stick with Georgia sting that much harder.
Carroll is not only ruling out becoming a Gator, but he's going to their most hated rival. That has to sting for Dan Mullen and his improving program.
