By Sean Facey

Things just keep getting worse and worse for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Not only did they get punched in the mouth by Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers in the SEC Championship, but it's now been reported that sophomore running back James Cook was arrested on two misdemeanor charges in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Georgia sophomore tailback James Cook was arrested in Athens early this morning on two misdemeanor charges: Driving without a valid license, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a passenger area, per the Athens Clarke-County jail web site.

James Cook, the younger brother of Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook, was charged with driving without a license and possession of an open container of alcohol in a passenger area.
He was released on bond just before 3 a.m. ET Tuesday.
Cook was released on bond of $1,000 for each charge, both misdemeanors. He was arrested at 1:46 a.m. and released at 2:57 a.m.

Cook has averaged seven yards per touch through the 2019 season while serving as D'Andre Swift's understudy out of the backfield. He totaled just 23 rushing yards and 11 receiving yards in the Bulldogs' blowout loss to the Bayou Bengals last Saturday.
Cook's arrest puts the pressure on head coach Kirby Smart to ensure that the upcoming offseason isn't one fraught with discipline issues.
