Georgia and Kirby Smart didn't lose many recruiting battles this year, but they're at risk of being on the wrong end of the courting of 4-star tight end Moliki Matavao.

The Class of 2021 prospect out of Nevada is set to announce his decision on Wednesday, and per 247sports, he's leaning rather heavily toward Mario Cristobal's Oregon Ducks.

Along with the Ducks and Bulldogs, Matavao is considering the Penn State Nittany Lions and UCLA Bruins.

Matavao is your classic two-sport athlete, playing both football and basketball, but considers his future on the gridiron. While Matavao's relationship with Georgia's Todd Hartley is as strong as ever -- the Henderson native claims to speak with Hartley multiple times per week -- it might not be enough to sway him to Athens permanently.

Should Georgia lose out on Matavao, they'll hunker down to secure Brock Powers, another TE in the 2021 class, to ensure their positional flexibility.

Smart would rather not have to turn to his backup plan, but barring a last-second change of heart, the evidence and experts are against the Dawgs this time around.
