Former Ravens RB Alex Collins Pleaded Guilty to Misdemeanor Marijuana and Handgun Charges
By Jerry Trotta

Well, this news certainly isn't going to persuade any NFL team to sign free agent tailback Alex Collins.
The former Baltimore Raven pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug and gun charges on Friday, reports insider Ian Rapoport. He was sentenced to probation prior to the conviction and was dealt a fine, because of his FA status, of just $200. In addition, all of the felony charges against him were annulled.
Free agent RB Alex Collins has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges — possession of a handgun and of marijuana, I’m told. All felony charges were dropped. He received probation prior to conviction and charges will be expunged after three years. He has a small fine of $200.

This is now the second legal incident in 2019 that has been associated with Collins. Back in march, the Arkansas product was arrested after he crashed a car into a tree near the Ravens' training facility.
Authorities charged him with drug possession in surplus of 10 grams of marijuana, intent to sell, and possession of a firearm. Unsurprisingly, Baltimore released him that same day.
The NFL will now sort out the details and ponder handing down a suspension to Collins, who is presently recovering from a broken leg that he suffered a few months ago.

It remains to be seen if any team in the league will consider signing the 25-year-old, but he was a key contributor to the Ravens offense in 2017 and 2018, averaging north of four yards per clip across 326 carries.
