After Georgia hired Todd Monken to become its offensive coordinator, it was widely expected that the man he replaced, James Coley, would end up leaving the program.

Well, according to reports, Coley is set to leave Athens, but will be remaining in the SEC. Per Billy Liucci, Coley will be joining forces with Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M, latching on as the team's tight ends coach.

Coley previously held this same position under Fisher at Florida State, so it's pretty clear why the two have decided to reconnect in College Station.

Despite having Jake Fromm at his disposal, Coley struggled to produce as offensive coordinator for Georgia. In 2019, the team averaged just 408.1 yards per game, which ranked outside the Top 50 in the nation.

Still, Coley represents a significant addition for the Aggies' coaching staff, as the program looks to claw back into the rankings in 2020.

The Aggies will be hoping Coley can get the most out of a young tight ends group led by the likes of Jalen Wydermyer and Ryan Renick.
