Former Browns WR Antonio Callaway Signs With XFL Team

Antonio Callaway spent two years with the Cleveland Browns from 2018-2019. Though he was suspended to start his second NFL season and only appeared in four games before being released after being hit with yet another suspension.
Callaway entered the league with legal issues and his story was another one of lost potential. Now, it seems his next opportunity on a football field won't be in the NFL.
The 23-year-old has joined the upstart XFL, latching on with the Tampa Bay Vipers.

Who knew the XFL already had a waivers system? Apparently the league does, and Callaway made himself eligible, quickly getting scooped up.

He joins Mack Brown, Martez Ivey, DeAndre Goolsby and Cece Jefferson on Tampa Bay.
The Florida native is back in him home state where he will hopefully get his life and career back on track. He's still young and flashed his potential in 2018 with 586 receiving yards and five touchdowns for the Browns.
The XFL season gets underway Saturday, Feb. 8 and the Vipers are in action the following day. Considering he turned in a solid season's work in the NFL, Callaway could prove to be productive in Tampa.
