Florida WR Trevon Grimes Announces He Will Return for Senior Season
By Michael Luciano

Florida is once again going to lose a big chunk of talent to the NFL, but one of their most dynamic offensive playmakers isn't going anywhere.
Wide receiver Trevon Grimes, who figures to have an expanded role in Dan Mullen's offense, announced via Twitter on Wednesday that he will return for his senior season.

Grimes was an Ohio State transfer who made the switch to Gainesville in search of playing time after he caught just three passes in his freshman season. The 6-5, 214-pound receiver had his best season to date in 2019, catching 33 passes for 491 yards and three touchdowns. His best game came when he piled up 95 yards and a touchdown in a win over Vanderbilt.
Grimes, who could be a team captain in 2020, might be a bit apprehensive about declaring this year given how stacked the wide receiver class projects to be.
Trevon Grimes sounds like a player well aware of how deep this year's NFL Draft class is at receiver.

He'd also love the chance to be a team captain. Those are some of the factors he's weighing as he decides on the NFL Draft or his senior season - https://t.co/V8doG90L7D pic.twitter.com/9aKQHl98ly
Once this ultra-talented 2020 class goes pro, Grimes will be one of a handful of wide receivers with an inside track to a first round grade as the 2021 draft rolls around. All in all, it's probably best for Grimes he came back for another year of seasoning.
