Florida State Flips 4-Star QB With Absolutely Ludicrous Name

Scott Satterfield was banking on quarterback Chubba Purdy coming to Louisville in the 2020 recruiting class to be the Cardinals' quarterback of the future, but Purdy had other ideas.

The 4-star passer spurned Satterfield and Louisville, instead opting for former Memphis head coach Mike Norvell at Florida State.

Purdy was thought to be a Louisville commit for the longest time, with Florida State and Kansas State lurking in the background after his commitment wavered. Purdy's brother Brock is the starting quarterback for Matt Campbell at Iowa State, and he threw for 3,760 yards and 27 touchdowns last season for the Cyclones.

And the fans are HYPE.

I mean...hype, within reason.

Purdy will join Norvell in Tallahassee as his first big quarterback recruit during his tenure with the Seminoles.

Purdy has some big expectations, as he is viewed by some as the savior of what has been a disastrous program over the last few years. If he is anywhere close to the passer that his brother is in Ames, the Seminoles should be back to their winning ways with Purdy starring in Norvell's high-octane offense in Tallahassee.
