Florida Game Should Be James Coley's Final Chance to Prove Himself
By Jerry Trotta

Remember when college football pundits around the country were applauding the Georgia Bulldogs appointing of James Coley as the team's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach?
Well, that experiment has been a bonafide bust thus far as the Dawgs offense currently ranks 21st in the NCAA in terms of yards per game and 24th in points scored per tilt.
Georgia's standards shouldn't even come close to mustering those kind of rankings, and Saturday's showdown versus No. 6 Florida should serve as Coley's final chance to prove his worth.
I'm usually not "win or get fired" guy.

But if there was ever that type of game for a coach, Saturday is it for Georgia OC James Coley: https://t.co/ioMGkH8QHR
An offense that flaunts talents like Jake Fromm, D'Andre Swift, and George Pickens, among others, shouldn't be struggling to put points on the board as much as they are.
Folks, Georgia has failed to score north of 25 points in three of their last four games against Power 5 schools. The Bulldogs are coming off a bye week and if improvements aren't shown at home against the Gators, fans will, once again, be calling for his job.

Coley's offense faces a stiff test this weekend, as Florida stands as the highest-rated defense (No.12 in terms of scoring) that the Bulldogs have faced in 2019, but this is exactly why they hired him in the offseason, is it not?
We doubt that Georgia would fire Coley in the middle of the campaign, but a poor display on Saturday should have their minds made up on whether or not he should be brought back in 2020.
