FedExField Was Practically Empty Moments Before Jets-Redskins Kickoff

When two teams as bad as the New York Jets and Washington Redskins get together, it seems natural that interest in the game would be low in comparison to what the rest of NFL Sunday has to offer. There are far more interesting games to watch that have serious playoff implications.

But this is just brutal. With the two tanking teams moments away from kickoff, FedExField in Washington was borderline empty.

That's genuinely pitiful, even for two teams that have a combined 3-15 record on the season.

It speaks to just how bad these two teams have been all year long. Even the intriguing matchup of young quarterbacks in Sam Darnold and Dwayne Haskins wasn't enough to lure fans out to the stadium for the afternoon.

And it's not like tickets were expensive, either.

The sore lack of attendees also shows just how disillusioned fans can become when their teams tank. After all, there really isn't any point in spending money to go to a game featuring two teams that are actively trying to lose.
