Fan at Iowa State Gameday Who Had Sign Asking for Money Donates It All to Iowa Children's Hospital
By Michael Luciano

Iowa State Cyclones fan Carson King found a cool way to subvert the usual "ask for beer money" trick that has been cropping up on College Gameday recently by using the profits for a more productive purpose.
King's Venmo account received tens of thousands of dollars after his stint on Gameday. Rather than pick up a 12-pack, King donated the money to a local Children's hospital. Over the last week, King racked up $178,000 in donations, but the total amount donated rose to $534,000 after Busch and Venmo matched with similar donations.
Carson King’s Venmo account now reads: $178,000. The 24-year-old Iowa State fan turned a College GameDay sign asking for money for Busch Light and funneled all his money into a donation for @UIchildrens Hospital. With Venmo & Busch match, total raised is now $534,000! pic.twitter.com/5pRUaRHLu4

At a time where sports is ripe with so many depressing stories, this is something we can all get behind.
While the Cyclones fell to their hated rivals Iowa late in the battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy, King's act of selflessness deserves all the praise that it has garnered over the last week, and then some.
We’ve now reached over $67,000.00! Which means that @UIchildrens is going to receive over $200.000.00 after @BuschBeer and @venmo match! Let’s go baby! #ForTheKids

You can send King money via Venmo @Carson-King-25. The more money going towards a Children's Hospital, the better.
