The Atlanta Falcons have had back-to-back losing seasons and were set to pick at No. 16 overall in this year's NFL Draft.

Rumors emerged this week of the team looking to make a major trade up, and defensive back was a noted position of need. But perhaps the Falcons would ignore that and move all the way up to take Chase Young? It's what we'd heard!

Instead, Falcons fans watched the draft tick on all the way to No. 16 overall and the team decided to reach a bit on Clemson's A.J. Terrell.

Terrell was seen as one of the top five defensive backs, but No. 16 overall seems a bit early for him. It appears the Falcons viewed defensive back as the top need and did not care that the move would be seen as a reach. They followed their board and took the best available corner. The results of that move remain to be seen.

Terrell could turn out to be great, but Falcons fans may still be upset after the rumors of a monster trade fell flat. Back-to-back 7-9 seasons after such a promising run could have fans impatient, awaiting a major change. The Falcons stuck to their board and instantly put a ton of pressure on the back of Terrell.
