Ezekiel Elliott's Latest Retweet Suggests Cowboys Could Make Him NFL's Highest-Paid Running Back

What is Ezekiel Elliott trying to tell us?

Did Jerry Jones just give the Dallas Cowboys star running back a blank check amid all the contract negotiation drama?

Based on Zeke's latest retweet, it appears as if that's the case.

Former Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas had been tweeting about Elliott's situation with the Cowboys this week and he appears to have reached the subject in question.

And with the latest reports suggesting Elliott is leaving Cabo to return to the Cowboys and possibly sign a new contract, this could be the final piece of information we need in order to understand what's going to happen.

Based on his production in his first three NFL seasons -- despite being suspended for six games in his second year -- Elliott is the best back in the league. He's won the rushing title twice and very well could've three-peated if not for the six-game ban in 2017.

The only problem is, if the Cowboys pay him that big money, it'll be harder for them to keep Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper on big contracts too.
